We Need To Talk
Did You Know? The first University of Arkanas football team was formed in 1894 and were the ‘Arkansas Cardinals’.  The team became the ‘Razorbacks’ in 1910. Tom Pagnozzi played at Arkansas in 1983 and after leaving St. Louis, went back to Fayetteville as a coach for the Razorbacks. That being said, I know many (all) of you that follow and/or read this might be...

rdmcgeorge: rickankielsmustache: Standings after the weekend. Weekend isn’t over yet.  We’re all rooting for the Braves to beat the Phillies tonight, right? Yes, I jumped the gun on the weekend being over.  I think it’s because I’m about to fall asleep.  Go Braves and such.

The Albert Pujols Wellness Center for Adults with Down Syndrome will be located across from the hospital in the Mr. & Mrs. Theodore P. UF sacks Miracle's 'What would Tim Tebow do?'... →
n 2007 the team staged a Billy Donovan night, which mocked the UF basketball coach’s decision to back out of a contractual agreement he made with the Orlando Magic. Other activities that were bounced around when the team was planning the event included a mock circumcision, which would have been meant to play off of Tebow’s missionary work in the Philippines. It wasn’t included on Wednesday for...

Tumblr rolled out the nice tagging feature recently so I’m forcing myself to use them more often.  There is a pretty wide gap in time where I wasn’t doing so, but I’m making every effort (while not working) to go back and fill in some of these gaps. But to make these efforts worth while, it’d be cool if you know… clicked on them occassionally.

Dave Duncan Returns
Cardinals manager Tony La Russa said after Tuesday’s 1-0 victory that he couldn’t remember a game since they’ve been together as the longest pitching coach-manager tandem in baseball history that he didn’t have Dave Duncan at his side for a game. Tuesday was a first. Tonight won’t be the second. (via STLToday)

If It Hurts When You Do That, Don't Do That →
rickpitino-face: jheath:rickankielsmustache: ……. Are the players AND coaches in Boston just completely unobservant or really stupid? This seems ridiculous to me. I don’t have a joke for any of this, but I felt compelled to say… Are the Cardinals fans that ignorant that they assume this was the reason why Smoltz was awful against A.L batting lineups and dazzling against the...

If It Hurts When You Do That, Don't Do That →
Cardinals Bullpen Fixes John Smoltz In Five Minutes Coaches noticed right away his foot was slipping off the pitching rubber, so they told him to stop doing that. Then starter Chris Carpenter noticed that Smoltz was tipping his pitches on the mound. So they told him to not do that either. The result? Five scoreless innings, no walks and nine strikeouts, including seven in a row. Was that so...

DG's 10@10: Pujols’ 5,000 At-Bats →
The St. Louis Cardinals first baseman and reigning National League MVP had the 5,000th at-bat of his career in the first inning of Thursday’s victory. He grounded into a double play. But what he has done in the previous 4,999 at-bats of his career puts him in elite company. He walks with giants like Williams, Gehrig and Greenberg — all of whom share something that Pujols does not: They played...
