Go Gamecocks!

I forgot college football was on tonight.  This is a good opportunity for the nation to see how overrated Ole Miss reallly is this season.

I don’t care about what equinox has happened or not happened, but college football starts today and that means fall has arrived.  Regardless of temperature in the stands or the number of people collapsing of heat exhaustion, we have reached the best day of the year.  (A close second would be Pitchers and Catchers.)
There are a handful of uneventful games this evening where upsets will be unlikely.  Oregon vs. Boise State is the only game worth noting and watching, but please adjust your TV screens to prevent seizures and color-blindness.  However, it could be a good time to balance your greens and blues in preparation for the rest of the season.  My pick to win?  Boise State simply because I have fond memories of them beating Oklahoma at the 2007 Fiesta Bowl.
Representing the SEC tonight will be South Carolina against North Carolina St. which should be a no brainer.  Gamecocks will walk away with that win.
We’ll discuss the rest of Week 1 in about 24 hours.
