After last night’s victory, the Dodgers ended the evening with a choreographed routine from High School Musical 3.
St. Louis Cardinals manager Tony La Russa was talking to reporters before Thursday’s game against Pittsburgh when a clubhouse attendant stuck his head in and said: “Manny Ramirez, 50 games.”
La Russa’s first reaction: “You’re kidding me.”
Then he checked the schedule to see whether the Cardinals would be playing the Dodgers while Ramirez is out.

Manny Ramirez has tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs and will be suspended 50 games starting today, The Times has learned.
The test result and suspension is expected to be announced later today. The Dodgers informed triple-A outfielder Xavier Paul this morning that he was being promoted to Los Angeles.
