Emphasis Mine! Molina caught for 20 innings last night. And three of those were for with Lopez or Mather pitching. Not exactly right into the glove, ya know?
My thighs. They hurt just thinking about it.
Also, no reinforcements were brought in for this game. I wanna see Wainwright still pitching in the ninth.

Oh yeah. And that happened, too.

Cardinals opening day! What a hell of a win, 11-6, against the Reds. ESPN might’ve lied and not shown the game, but thank Jeebus for play-by-plays online. Two homers for Albert Pujols, one for Colby Rasmus, and a career first grand slam for Yadier Molina! Man, I freakin’ love baseball season and my boys and, damnit, I can just FEEL it… we’re gonna have a red October this year.
Ditto.
Just another reason why Yadier Molina is the best catcher you’ll see in the game.
Looks like there’s a new St. Louis sports tumblr floating around. Welcome.
The Cardinals battery of catcher Yadier Molina and pitcher Adam Wainwright today won Gold Glove awards for fielding excellence.
Molina, who was a first-time All-Star starter this season, won the catcher’s Gold Glove for the second consecutive season.
Wainwright becomes the first NL pitcher to win the Gold Glove in the post-Greg Maddux era.
