The Cardinals battery of catcher Yadier Molina and pitcher Adam Wainwright today won Gold Glove awards for fielding excellence.
Molina, who was a first-time All-Star starter this season, won the catcher’s Gold Glove for the second consecutive season.
Wainwright becomes the first NL pitcher to win the Gold Glove in the post-Greg Maddux era.
Cute little montage here via the official Cardinals twitter feed.

1) Wainwright leads the league with 18 wins, after earning his latest victory with seven shutout innings in Milwaukee on Wednesday afternoon.
2) Wainwright leads the league with 205 innings. (Carpenter is third on the Cardinals at 166 2/3 because of time spent on the disabled list.)
3) Wainwright hasn’t missed a start this season because of injury; Carpenter and Lincecum have.
