John McDonnell – The Greatest Coach Ever!, a 26-minute film developed by Emmy Award winning documentary producer Larry Foley and longtime Razorback video archivist Jim Borden was commissioned by the University of Arkansas Athletic Department to commemorate the unprecedented career of the most successful coach in Division I-A history.

Not so keen on the title there, but this could be a great documentary and I hope it was done well.  This man is/was an amazing coach that in my opinion, has never gotten the recognition, outside of the track world, that he has deserved.

Spring in the SEC

It’s way too early to even be analyzing this but ESPN’s Chris Low needed something to write about during spring scrimmages to here are the important parts:

  • Best numbers: Did you see some of the receiving statistics the Arkansas receivers put up? Joe Adams and Jarius Wright, in particular, had touchdown-fests this spring. Arkansas coach Bobby Petrino is hoping that’s good news for his offense and not necessarily bad news for the Hogs’ defense.

Actually that’s the only mention Arkansas received.  (Read the rest…)

With the Razorback performance last season, we won’t be getting much love from ESPN or the polls for quite sometime.  I’m ok with that for now.  I’m not ready for August quite yet.
