Daily Recap: David Wright went 4-4, with a homer and three RBI’s, and Chris Capuano made his case for fifth starter with five strong innings
I expect game recaps for EVERY single game now guys. Not just ones where you happen to win by 13 runs. No worries, though. This will be the only time it happens all season.

holy shit.

two of my favorite cardinals, yadi & waino. what’s that? i love the whole team? you say that like it’s a bad thing. ah, i’m growing more impatient by the second for opening day. GO CARDS!

So, i just got emotional after watching this.

My heart was pounding watching when it was real.  Weeks after I had strange heart palpitations, to the likes that I haven’t felt that since.

I think I have something in my eye… God I love baseball.

And now click thru to watch the MLB tape.
Just watch that pitch from Wainwright. Rewind and watch it again.
(I’m done now.)
P.S. Can the Budweiser Select logo be in a more perfect place?

Let’s watch that last strike from the fan’s perspective.

(You guys brought up 2006, don’t expect me to just sit back and let this opportunity go by.)

Tonight’s Lineup v. Mets 4/18

1. Schumaker, 2B

2. Ludwick, RF

3. Pujols, 1B

4. Holliday, LF

5. Rasmus, CF

6. Molina, C

7. Freese, 3B

8. Ryan, SS

9. Wainwright

Emphasis Mine! Molina caught for 20 innings last night. And three of those were for with Lopez or Mather pitching. Not exactly right into the glove, ya know?

My thighs. They hurt just thinking about it.

Also, no reinforcements were brought in for this game. I wanna see Wainwright still pitching in the ninth.

Some day we will sit around the dinner table with our children and grandchildren and they’ll say “Tell the story again about the baseball game.” And you’ll automatically know they were talking about this one. You won’t leave out Jaime Garcia’s great start but they’ll want you to skip that part every time and get to the good stuff. “Tell the part when Tony put Lopez in as pitcher!” (Yes, your kids will refer to him simply as ‘Tony’, because he is like family).
And you’ll tell the end of the story and they won’t believe you each time and each time the story is told, the game will get longer and longer and each time more ridiculous.
But you’ll never forget watching that game.
