Ank hit a walk-off double in the 11th inning last night for Kansas City’s first win of the season. They’ll play the Tigers again today at 2:10ET and that game will be MLB AtBat’s free game of the day!

And I really hope you’re right about the ‘future hero’ part.

Position players were taking optional batting practice, and it was interesting to see a foursome made up of Scott Podsednik, Alex Gordon, Rick Ankiel and Chris Getz.  Ankiel told me how excited he is to be a Royal.  Podesednik’s influence in the clubhouse was described to me as electric.  This team will look very different than the 2009 version.
